We hope that after reviewing the services and benefits of becoming a member of the LLA, you will agree that as a landlord, you can not afford to not belong. In order to make it easy for you, we have provided an on-line Membership Application form to fill out and submit to us.

The LLA is here to help you with your rental properties in any way possible. In an effort to assist you we offer the following membership servies and benefits:
MEMBERSHIP PACKET:
Upon joining LLA, each member receives a membership packet worth $50.00 that includes each of our 38 legal forms and notices; Washington State Residential Rental Laws book; LLA Handbook; Legal Plan Information and referral; the LLA By-Laws; Screening Company referrals; and the latest edition of the Rental Review Newsletter. The LLA is a non-profit group in existence for over 40 years working together to increase residential property values through participation, education and legislation. Committee participation by all Association members is invited and encouraged! That’s how we work!
COMMUNICATION:
We have a bi-monthly 24 page newsletter, The Rental Review, website, e-mail bulletins.
NETWORKING:
Monthly dinners, Committee memberships and State Conventions.
EDUCATIONAL CLASSES:
The LLA offers regular classes at no charge for members, including Landlord-Tenant Law instruction, Landlord Basics Training, and Advanced Landlording and Property Management classes. Membership meetings throughout the year offer educational and informational speakers and are open to the public. Check the Events Calendar for specific details.
LEGISLATIVE REPRESENTATION:
Your interests are monitored and championed on a local and state legislative level by the LLA Legislative Committee Members. Regular progress reports are shared in the Rental Review.
FORMS & BOOKS:
Ready access to contracts, notices, and other forms needed to protect legal rights and conduct business interests. All forms are updated and currently in compliance with Washington RCW’s. They are carbonless copies ready for business or downloadable pdf forms. Phone, website or fax sales requests receive return services by USPS Mail. The LLA office is open Monday 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.; Tuesday thru Thursday from 8am-2pm, for form sales and membership enrollment. The office is closed on Fridays. Members can place orders through this website.
LEGAL PLAN:
The LLA offers a list of Landlord and Real Estate Attorneys from whom our members may choose landlord legal services. These attorneys offer free landlord related phone calls for members. Landlord Law classes are taught by highly experienced local landlord attorneys each January through March at Timber Creek Grill and Buffet.
MENTOR PROGRAM:
Experienced volunteer landlords are available by phone for brief consultations on being a successful landlord. Hard-won information is shared first-hand member to member.
WITNESS PROGRAM:
Volunteer landlords are ready to help you if you have damage, cleaning, or suspected abandonment that you may need to establish in court. LLA provides a resource called an Objective Witness Program to provide testimony in a court case with a tenant.
